 7 nights on the Great Barrier Reef

and 2 nights in Cairns!

MUST DO TRIP!

Join us during the migration of the Dwarf Minke Whales. Only discovered in the 1980s, they are the only whale known to initiate human interactions.

​

They are incredibly curious and in water encounters can last for hours. When we are not swimming alongside these amazing creatures we dive the beautiful outer reefs.

​

This includes world famous dive sites such as Steve's Bommie and Lighthouse Bommie.

Our extended dive trip has been organised especially for our group and is not to be missed!

​

We commence the trip with our first days exploring the easy dives at such sites as Troppos, Caves and Playground before venturing up the stunning Ribbon Reefs. We have amazing dives scheduled plus in water sessions with the Dwarf Minke Whales.

​

We have up to 28 dives, including 7 night dives with the option to upgrade to an amazing fluoro diving experience too. The included 'Sharks in the Dark' are an added bonus!

​

Joining this group trip includes: all meals on board, ensuite cabins, Dwarf Minke Whale presentations, shuttles, t-shirt, taxes, games/competitions and accommodation before and after the boat.

​

This trip has our own Trip Leader meeting you in Cairns and travelling on the boat, taking care of all the logistics for you!

Cost twin share: $3299 per diver, $3099 per snorkeler

Itinerary

Thu 8th

  • Arrive into Cairns airport

  • Transfer to Cairns resort

  • Free time

  • Optional group dinner

Fri 9th

  • Transfer to liveaboard at Cairns wharf

  • Relaxing trip to outer reefs

  • 1 afternoon and 1 night dive

Sat 10th, Sun 11th, Mon 12th

  • Wake up on the reef - start 'dive, eat, sleep repeat' routine

  • Diving on and around the amazing Ribbon Reefs

  • Varying dive sites to explore

  • Stopping for Minke interaction where possible

  • Each day up to 4 dives including 1 night dive

Tue 13th

  • Head into Cairns for short stop (great opportunity for any shopping and a real coffee!)

  • Back to the reef for more days of diving!

  • Today 1 afternoon and 1 night dive

Wed 14th and Thu 15th 

  • Easy relaxing dives on Norman/Saxon/Hastings Reefs

  • Varying dive sites to explore

  • Each day 4 dives including 1 night dive

  • Maybe even see a Minke or 2

  • Final night celebrations on board

  • What an amazing week of diving!

Fri 16th​

  • 2 morning dives before lunch

  • Fast boat back to marina

  • Accommodation in Cairns

  • Group dinner (optional)

Sat 17th

  • Transfer to Cairns airport

  • Great memories and fond farewells till next time!
